Human Powered Vessel Operator License
ALA has created a new type of license for Human Powered Vessels which can be obtained online and is free. The Human Powered Vessel Study Guide and operator license test have been developed that only include topics relevant to Human Powered Vessels. The license may be obtained by ALA members and their guests through the Lake Safety Test. Once the person successfully completes the test, an email will be sent to the person which will include a certificate which will serve as the license.  The license is valid for one year. Operators of Human Powered Vessels must carry the certificate or the email showing their certificate while operating the vessel.
