General Rules
ANNUAL FEES: All members shall be subject to the payment of fees as determined by the Board from time to time in accordance with the laws of the State of California and the Corporation by-laws. To remain in good standing, all members shall pay the fees as so determined.
VOTING: Each general member owning one or more parcels of real property in Arrowhead Woods shall be entitled to one vote on all matters upon which general members may vote. If a general member owns an interest in a parcel of real property in Arrowhead Woods in combination with any other person or entity, the multiple owners thereof shall be entitled to cast only one vote as a general member, and it shall be the obligation of the joint owners of such parcels of real property to determine which joint owner, person or entity, shall be qualified to vote the general membership interest of the joint owners.
PRIVILEGES OF GENERAL MEMBERS: General members, as well as their families and guests, may use ALA properties and facilities as the Board of Directors may determine from time to time.
INDEMNIFICATION: By accepting a General Membership, each general member agrees to save, defend, hold harmless and indemnify ALA against any and all damage and harm to persons and property suffered by, or asserted against ALA, as well as any and all damages, injury, claims, demands, costs, attorney's fees, expenses, liens, actions and causes of action of every kind, nature and description, whether known or unknown, for damage and harm from the conduct of such general member or his spouse or minor children, as well as that of his guests, permittees, invitees and their spouses and minor children caused by or in any way arising from the use of such ALA property or facilities.
TRANSFERS: A general membership is not transferable and terminates when the general member dies, or fails to pay dues as required or sells or in any way transfers the real property in Arrowhead Woods qualifying him for general membership.
RIGHT OF MEMBERS EXTENDED TO GUESTS AND TENANTS: No person or entity which is not an owner of real property in Arrowhead Woods may be granted general or any other class of membership status in the Arrowhead Lake Association.
ISSUANCE OF MEMBERSHIP CARDS TO CLASSES OF MEMBERS: Each general or any other class of member shall be entitled to have two membership cards per membership, issued as verified upon the legally recorded instrument under which title to real property in Arrowhead Woods was acquired, a true and correct copy of which is to be provided by the member when requesting membership in ALA, at no additional charge other than the regular membership fee.
DOGS ON ARROWHEAD LAKE ASSOCIATION PROPERTY RULE:

Dogs must be on a leash no longer than six (6) feet in length and under the control of the Member/Owner at all times when on Association property. Member/Owners of unleashed or out of control dogs are subject to a fine of up to $1,000. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time. This Policy is to allow members to enjoy the lake, trails and shoreline with their dogs and to help ensure the safety of members from dangerous, aggressive and overly playful dogs.
Dogs do not have to be on a leash under the following circumstances:
- While swimming in the lake
- When confined to a member’s boat, dock or pier area and attended by a person capable of controlling the dog
Beach Clubs
- Dogs are not allowed on the beach sand, in swim areas, or in the playground areas at any time
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times while at the Beach Clubs
Members/Owners must pick up their dog’s waste on ALA property and properly dispose of it for sanitary purposes.
Any Member/Owner that is not willing to abide by this policy will be asked to remove the dog from the Arrowhead Lake Association property.
Members/Owners who do not comply with the above Policy may be subject to verbal warnings, written warnings citations and/or suspension of membership
Citations may result in fines as may be determined by the Board of Directors .
This Policy applies to Members/Owners and their guests. Members are responsible for the actions of their guests.
The Board of Directors authorizes the Lake Safety Committee to impose fines according to the Lake Safety Charter in the ALA Bylaws.
Note: In October 2017, the Lake Safety Committee determined that a violation of this Policy would be considered misuse of Arrowhead Lake Association property with a fine of up to $1,000.
