Boating Violations

The following Violations Fine Schedule is a breakdown of all of the categories from which the Lake Safety and Violations Committee can choose from in order to charge someone if they have received a citation on Lake Arrowhead. Group 1 - Operational Violations
Unsafe, reckless, or negligent operation of a boat	$150 - $1000
Operation of a boat while under the influence of drugs or alcohol	$500
Skiing in prohibited areas or wrong direction of travel	$150 - $1000
Underage observer or no observer while skiing	$150 - $1000
Hit and run	$150 - $1000
NO PDFs on children under the age of 12	$25 - $1000
Not displaying a flag (downed skier, fishing, etc.) at the proper time	$25 - $1000
Prohibited use of the lake	$100 - $500
Excessive speed, overloading, or towing restricted devices	$25 - $500
Swimming or use of small water devices beyond 100' from shore	$25 - $100
Group 2 - Static Non-operational Violations
Littering or pollution	$50 - $1000
No current boat insurance	$300 - $500
Not following ALA personnel direction	$100 - $500
Trespassing	$50 - $250
Missing or improper required equipment	$25 - $100
No ALA decal or Vessel numbers on boat (or incorrectly placed)	$25 - $100
Excessive Boat Noise level*	$100 - $500
Unauthorized slip usage	$25 - $100
Licensed ALA driver not in possession of license	$25
Unlicensed driver operating boat	$25 - $50

*Third offense will result in a $500 fine and removal of the boat from the lake for one year from the date of the offense.
